This exhaust Y-Pipe is a common failure on trucks with higher mileage and age. The exhaust bellows crack which leads to exhaust leaks and loss of low end power due to reduced exhaust flow to the turbo. Signs of a leaking or cracked Y pipe will leave black carbon around the firewall, turbo and FICM. This Y pipe is a 1 pc design that eliminates the up pipe.
